Mr.
Johns started Vision TRE, Inc. in 1998 after leaving as Manager of an
Intranet Marketing Group at MCI Telecommunications. During his 10
years at MCI he worked in development, methodology consulting,
technology planning, data communications, web design, and internet protocol
technology. He managed activities between MCI, Microsoft, British
Telecom, Concert, and other vendors partnering in the development of one
of the first intranet portal products. At the merger of MCI with
WorldCom, Mr. Johns left and started Vision TRE, Inc. From 1998
till 2000, Vision TRE, Inc. provided website design and strategic
internet and intranet consulting for companies like Oglethorpe Power,
and EMS Technologies.
In November of 2000 Mr. Johns left Vision TRE, Inc. and was
hired as Corporate Director of Web Strategy at EMS Technologies in
Norcross Georgia. There he created an implemented a strategy that
took this global conglomerate of 5 businesses with 5 different websites
and consolidated them into today's website appearance of one large
company. He was promoted at EMS to Corporate Director of IT
Services with global responsibilities for all information
technologies. In this capacity Mr. Johns used his experience in
data communications at MCI to directed the replacement of an expensive
global frame relay network with an internet based VPN network saving
$50k per month, created a VPN secured wireless network a EMS facilities
globally, restructured the IT department into globally distributed
functional teams, managed the testing of satellite internet access
projects in Europe and Norcross, and directed implementation of a
manufacturing inventory control system that tracked products from
manufacturing to warehouse and to customer site. At EMS Mr. Johns
also implemented a global intranet portal using MS SharePoint.
This was noted by AMR Research as one of the best implementation of
SharePoint that they have seen. This corporate portal serviced over 1000
employees in the U.S., Brazil, Canada, and Europe.
In December of 2003 Mr. Johns left EMS Technologies to return to Vision
TRE, Inc. with a new focus on strategic consulting and offshore
outsourcing. His technical and global experience at EMS
Technologies, MCI Telecom, and the U.S. Foreign Agricultural Service are
focused now on helping mid-size and large corporations benefit from a
global source of knowledge and skills.
Mr. Johns serves on the Board of Directors for the
U.S.-Panama
Business Council Southeast Chapter and provides council on how to
effectively use internet technology to facilitate the council's mission.

Vision TRE, Inc. was an active member of the Technology Association
of Georgia. Mr. Johns was Chair of the Technology
Association of Georgia Foundation, Charitable Activities Committee
in 2004,
"Tech Stars of Tomorrow", a Boy and Girls Club of Metro
Atlanta project.
VIsion TRE, Inc. supports the Atlanta - Rio De Janeiro Sister
Cities Committee and was a sponsor of the 2004 Awards Ceremony,
helping to raise funds for the LifeLink Network for children and
orphanages in Rio de Janerio.
